I grew up Catholic, as did my parents. It was the usual thing to go to Church on Sunday, baptize our children and confess my sins. Gosh, it was so comforting to trust that God Loves me. Im sure you feel the same about your religion, don’t you? For 40 years, I did my best to uphold my catholic teachings.
I held onto such beliefs and I turned the Holy Bible inside out… trying to find an answer. I think that’s what you do, right; turn to your religion for answers when your in need? The question was “Why is my Brother burning in Hell because he committed suicide!”
Maybe God will provide the opportunity for salutary repentance on that soul. That’s it. (summed up). So, our soul is condemned for eternity because we ended this body’s function when it’s really God’s body? I mean, lets keep it real. I read so many scriptures and there is no more narrowing it down. It wasn’t even always a sin! I guess they changed their mind.
It wouldn’t be the first time the Church has changed its mind. Did you know drinking coffee use to also be a sin, yup. Pope Clement VIII’s advisers told him to denounce coffee because they believed coffee was the bitter invention of Satan because of its popularity among Muslims! That is crazy! However, upon tasting coffee, Clement allegedly blessed the bean because it appeared better for the people than alcoholic beverages. Pope Clement VIII declared that: “This Satan’s drink is so delicious that it would be a pity to let the infidels have exclusive use of it.”
These are just a couple things that stood out. Then I backed tracked even further. I wanted to know more about Jesus. Again, I read scriptures and had many talks with my priest. Everyone had the exact same thing to say or would redirected me back to the same scripture I just read. Then I looked into more of who wrote the book (the Bible). Here’s what I found:
“So you have four Gospels written by four different authors, decades, maybe a century after he died; and none of them actually met Jesus… we really don’t know who put the New Testament together”. by Candida Moss, Ph. D, professor of early Christianity, Notre Dam
Did you know more than a quarter of Americans say they are spiritual
It seemed the more I looked, the more I wanted to learn. I spent 5 years obsessed over reading and researching. One thing just kept leading to another. Did you know more than a quarter of Americans (27%) say they are spiritual but not religious, according to Pew Research. I stumbled on a small group of Enlightened. The reason I say small is mainly because it’s only when I conversed within that group that I never felt ashamed, embarrassed nor guilty. I hope that I display this with the attention and praise it deserves.
One day I passed out without falling down. There – I said it. I cant find any better words. I had a NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE, but without the death. Whats left? Let me explain
Whats left if you take the near death out, is Experience. There I stood, with my eyes flashing in front of the TV when I realized…. Well, to be honest, I’ve had a peek of the other side!
The Spiritual and Enlightened world is how I choose to exhibit this other side, you know; Heaven is what religion calls it. What attracted this was their understanding of connection. Everything, I mean, everything is connected. From the tip of your nail up to the stars!
Going through the infamous tunnel
When I passed out, I too was in that tunnel everyone talks about. Its spoken of so often, that when I noticed myself there; I just assumed I died.
Not having any choice – I just followed along. Then BAMM , there was no more tunnel.
Its round walls opened up instantly and the Light was the only thing left. I eventually became the light. When I looked down to see my hand, it disappeared leaving only this Bolt of flickering Light that I could control instead! I didn’t care and forgot I died because I could see. Everywhere I looked, Stars, Planets! I had a front row view!
The first thing I learned was; there never was a tunnel.
Of course, afterwards; I thought – what about Angels? What about God? How can I be the Light, when I thought only God was light and powerful? So many things to say and point out. The flying seemed so familiar. If you happened to read the journal part; I’ve had multiple instances and Lucid dreams of feeling the wind and flying with no body. So, was it the euphoria or literal? I must clarify that all my Lucid dreams of flying; I could literally feel the wind against me. I am going to determine that when the body passes away, or you get an instant premature peek, or visit Spiritually; the transition causes its surrounding environment to speed pass.
I was lucky enough to hear this anesthesiologist and professor describe the most amazing concept of our Soul (energy). A Doctor named Stuart Hamerof recognized the scenarios of Near Death and Out Of Body experiences to engulf them in his exceptional theory. He believes a separation of body to consciousness occurs (at least) in patients under anesthesia. Dct Hameroff monitored people brains, as dispensed drugs took away their consciousness before surgery. He gathered and studied testimonies, the EEG’s along with scenarios to combine with his knowledge of 35 years. After patients woke up from anesthesia they have no idea of lost time whatsoever, “the passage of time is a key feature in subjective consciousness. Consciousness is absent- just gone!”
Where do we go when our body cant sustain our consciousness? Doctor Hameroff believes the origins of the consciousness (soul) are found there as quantum computation. “Synchronized digamma EEG inside neurons of the brain is the origin of consciousness. Consciousness may be found and quantified; it has substance and survives the body… The Soul is a real thing in terms of quantum information embedded in the basic level of the universe. If someone was in cardiac arrest, the quantum information that involves consciousness isn’t necessarily destroyed, it may actually just sort of leak out and remain in the universe and remain entangled. If a patient is revised, then it can go back and the patient had a Near Death or Out of Body Experience. If the patient dies it’s conceivable to me that entity (which you call the Soul) remains entangled indefinitely and so it’s conceivable that the Soul is a real entity that can be measured!”
Amazing! This is one of the exact moments that Science and Religion interact. Instead of it being some battle no one will ever win, this is the instant both lean on each other to prove Life after Death.
